This week my son Conor had great fun at the Xtreme Karting in Larbert. Yesterday afternoon I spent the afternoon at the glasgow science centre with the kids and i thought it would be geat for my first video blog!

I picked up a bargain from Jessops in Glasgow my first full size camcorder, a JVC GZ-MG57EX the challenge. this week is to shoot a movie and post it on my blog next week. I have weddings at the weekend so I will shoot something on Monday so keep a lookout!

I have been shooting weddings for over 12 years and have seen wedding photography evolve from stiff traditional thru to contemporary wedding images, stylised fashion images, reportage weddings and now the wedding photojournalist ! I don’t think most wedding photographers have a clue about which genre their work fits into. They are just the latest buzz words ! For me if you like the work and you feel relaxed and comfortable with the photographer THAT’S ALL YOU NEED.

I would like to use this blog as a opportunity to share, not only my professional photography but also my personal photos and family time. I spend a lot of my life shooting and designing albums for my clients so in essence the blog is my photo album.
Its week 4 of the school hols and keeping all my 4 kids happy is a challenge so I popped out yesterday for the wee teams favourite pizza hut! The kids love seeing themselves on the internet.

Fiona and Paul are getting married in august and we got together for an engagement session . It was a lovely Sunday morning and we had a relaxing time chatting and shooting portraits I have posted a few of the shots below.

Hi everybody I have not bogged for ages and have been taking a well earned break from the world of wedding and portrait photography.
But now we are at the beginning of a new season ! all the batteries recharged, mine and the cameras,. Film out of the freezer and defrosting nicely I have lots of new ideas for my wedding and portrait work this year![ a few borrowed nothing stolen ! } Having lots of work lined up in the next few months is great, but it will be strait down to some hard work! but and we are sure it will be great fun ! We will be posting lots of images and even some video this year so! Keep coming back and see what we've been up to .

I had a great time at the awards in Coventry, it was honour to be part of the judging team. Listening to other top photographers discuss
and sometimes debate the relative merits of some of the best images shot in 2005/6 is a great learning experience for all taking part ! Its also good to meet up with colleagues and friends that you haven't seen for a while as we spend so much time at computers these days.
