My daughter was thrilled to look at last Wednesday's wedding photographs at Dalhousie Castle and saw that Norma and Richard had arranged an owl to deliver the wedding rings, it was like a scene from her favourite film - Harry Potter.
Now it may look simple to achieve but you only get one shot at capturing this and you can't afford to miss it. I think you'll agree it looks great I also caught the bird flying back it was stunning in flight.

Yet another beautiful Scottish summers day for Kenny and Julie's wedding in Alloa on Saturday.
After a lovely ceremony at Moncrieff church we headed off to Stirling Castle, what a great backdrop for stylistic couple shots of Julie and Kenny.
As it's the end of Scottish summer the castle had fewer Japanese tourists to work around.
I had recently photographed Julie and Kenny so we had a great time on Saturday, these images are in the archives of the blog if you want to view.

Wendy and Finlay live down south but came home to get married at Culcreuch Castle, Fintry.
Wendy wore a stunning red dress and was attended by her bridesmaids in white! They went in procession into the Galbraith Hall where Finlay was waiting patiently for her. After a lovely ceremony they came out to the drinks reception on the lawn, where we were lucky and the Scottish weather took a rest and it stayed fair.
We were able to go out in the grounds for the photo shoot and capture some stunning shots of that red dress.
After the speeches the guests were treated to the Traditional Address to the Haggis.

For Julie and John's big day we were at House for an Art Lover, it is a stunning venue designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
I have known Julie for a few years having covered some commercial work so it was a pleasure to be photographing her wedding.
Julie had put a lot of personal work into the arrangements for the day including her own floral bouquets which were lovely, the bridesmaids were her friends from university and the photos show how close their friendship is.
On the day it was typical sunshine and showers and with the help of colleague David Norwood the wedding was captured in full.
In between showers we were able to get into the grounds of the venue and the images are great.
We have also managed to incorporate the unique Rennie Mackintosh features in the rooms inside.

Had a nice drive up to Aviemore last week for Christine and Simon's wedding. A lovely Humanist ceremony held in the Drumintoul Lodge on the Rothiemurchus Estate.
The venue was a favourite of Christine's having holiday'd there as a child and she chose it for her wedding, so they brought both families to be with them.
There was a procession from the hunting lodge to the lochside lead by a piper, the bride looked stunning when she arrived at the lochside for the ceremony.
Luckily the rain held off until after the ceremony but we managed to capture some great shots despite the Scottish rain.
During the wedding meal the wedding party were treated to a magic show by Stephen Dick.

Caroline and Andy met working for Disney and this was the theme of the day, with table settings featuring different film titles.
Again a beautiful sunny day in Edinburgh, we started in the Capital city at the Prestonfield Hotel which is fantastic to photograph in. A few shots of Caroline and her bridesmaids getting ready, Caroline had a lovely lace bolero over her dress and then off to Oxenfford Castle on the outskirts of the city.
The ceremony was in the small Cranstoun Church then onto Oxenfford, although Caroline and Andy had cars by Waterside Cars of Glasgow they also had a procession to the Castle.
While the guests relaxed on the lawn, we took the couple away for some stunning shots using the castle and grounds as a backdrop.

In the stunning setting of Dundas Castle nr Edinburgh saw Mae and Alan marry in the Auld Keep. Friends and family travelled from all over including Shetland, where we have close friends, in fact some of Mae's family have been photographed by our friend Garry Sandison. A friend, Dominic, visiting from England accompanied Glen on the day and took some lovely shots, including Mae coming down the staircase.
The keep was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles, and the service officiated by a family friend. Mae looked lovely and the shots of her arriving in the keep are gorgeous. Alan and the guys were handsome in their Kilts including all the young boys who had a great time.
It was another glorious Scottish summers day and guests were able to mingle on the lawn enjoying canapes and champagne.

Another sunny wedding day!
I arrived at the house in time to capture the preparations as the hairdresser and make-up girl were hard at work and Lynn looked stunning.
Then on to meet up with Scott at Our Lady Of Lourdes for a lovely service before heading off to Dunblane Hydro for some family shots and we had a great opportunity for some stylised shots, to see some of these fabulous images have a look at the slideshow below!!
